  Had Gary come out to our place in Apple valley. Everything went smoothly and as expected. I’m a sales person and I know the pitch, the rapport building, overcoming objection, the asking for the sale, none of this happened, just genuine understanding, asking direct questions and getting direct answers. If he didn’t know an Answer, he didn’t BS me, he said I don’t know. But let me find out! That’s the best honest answer instead of coming up with a lie..Gary did not know I’m in sales. As a sales person, I made sure to put him through the ringer and make him sweat a little, but he just seemed like he wants to get this roof done. It’s business I get it! Over all I’m very pleased. Nice job Gary. Nice job team. As for the job it’s self, timely manner, good clean up, clean install, they even addressed some truss issues that needed immediate attention free of charge, that’s always nice.. House sold for alot more having the new roof.

  If you are looking for the best roofing company in MN look no further!!! Smart Construction is the best! They are extremely knowledgeable and professional and helped us with our windows and siding we are so happy with their work and highly recommend them to everyone who needs to get new roofing, siding or windows replaced.   Had a salesmen Gary come out tell me we had storm damage. I said ok how much he said siding and roof I said well if I cant get my siding done ill probably wait until another storm so I can do it all. well being the salesmen Gary is he pretty much lied saying we will get siding done well that didn't happen insurance only wanted to patch one spot. so now he comes back takes the whole 22k check and my 1,000 deductible I was kind of like ahh ok maybe half like most reputable companies he said they had to order everything and don't worry you will see our deductible back my wife was sitting with us heard the whole thing. I asked Gary hey can you guys put new storm doors on separately and fix some trim ill pay separately. Gary oh yea yea no problem we will get someone out right away to measure and get them ordered and going well that never happened once he had the check nothing this was all November. spring comes set a date ok supplies will be delivered to do the roof ok cool knock at the door hey jon doe from home depot where do you want the shingles I'm thinking had to have the whole check to order supplies but here is home depot 5 months later delivering the shingles ok Gary strikes again well install was fine hard working crew good clean up a little rushed it seemed some minor damage to some things. that's where Vlad comes in great guy honest took care of everything and went above and beyond so 5 stars for Vlad I don't ever write reviews but for this it was necessary they got paid to patch in siding replace some vents for fireplaces and some other stuff they got paid on Gary collected never seen a penny back so like I said roof looks good Vlad was great watch out for the front end of the operation especially fast talking friendly Gary he belongs in used car sales

  First of all we'd like to apologize for anything that affects our customer negatively. Our preference is to make our customers feel well taken care of. As far as the process goes, we always get the 1st insurance check (ACV funds, no matter the amount) and the deductible up front, period. This is standard practice and there is a ** Statute that does not allow ANY form of reduction in the Insurance Deductible. I believe there was a communication gap regarding the deductible as **** stated, there was 60 ** of siding and a couple misc. items that ****************** did not need us to replace, so those funds would be credited back to the homeowner at the end of the job, which was just over $1,000 and would basically "cover his deductible". **** went on to say that his wife was in the garage at the time of this discussion. In April, our Production Mgr. went to ********************** home and took care of a number of misc. repairs, apparently some had been caused by our roofing crew. Since then, ***** & **** both have tried to contact ****************** to explain the process, clear up any confusion and answer any questions he had but he is not returning any calls. We only replaced his roof and we have submitted a supplement to the insurance company for the missing permit fees, and a few code items, then we will deduct the siding allowances back to the homeowner and they pay the balance OR he can give us the insurance check and I can hand him a refund check at the same time. This is common practice. We would have loved a chance to explain all of this to ******************, to clear everything up, rather than go this route. We hope this clears up all of ******************** concerns and/or questions. If not, we look forward to a phone call.
