They tried to get my car loan from ***** and without me even adding my bank account in the loan, their bank name is appearing there, which I found unethical. I paid off that car loan but my FICO score in their bank was not updated at all. I tried getting a notary service from them, but the front desk refused to help so I end up going to another bank. I felt they are discriminating me because I only have my son's SSI in their bank. They could better their service to all of their clients.EECU Credit Union

EECU reported a debt to the credit bureau after agreeing to reverse the debt and allow us to pay off the balance. They will not return my calls or emails on how to resolve the debt and my credit took a 100 point dip. The last conversation I had with them, the representative told me she would call me back with a way to resolve the debt prior to it getting reported. The account was supposed to be closed prior to all of this being an issue. I thought during the holidays she was out of town since her phone constantly goes to voicemail. I sent her emails and left messages, no one has called me back, and couple days ago I received an alert on my credit of the derogatory **** being added. Super disappointed and i am glad we moved banks.EECU Credit Union

I was hoping to open a saving account at the *** location in ***** today. Not only am I not going to open an account after reading this reviews and having a first hand experience at someone not liking her job or Monday morning blues....regardless of what it was, banks need customers...consumers have choices and my choice is not to even go forward. It's 9:30 am, the lights are on, advisor is at a terminal and I have one simple question...I walk in...ask the gentlemen if he had time for a question and he politely replied yes....we are in the middle of this quick question and another advisor walks in...stares at me and growls we open at 10am...excuse me ma'am...your doors are open, lights are on and a coworker is hoping to answer the question....he nods her off and she continues to growl and storms off. Thank you ma'am...you saved me from joining your nightmare. I hope your job to assist customers get's easier for you.EECU Credit Union

When I started my employment with CISD I was excited that I was able to bank with EECU. But here recently I have had several minor issues with EECU that were luckily resolved but this last one had me extremely upset and ready to bank elsewhere. I was called from the EECU number letting me know that they suspect fraud on my account. They received a call from who they thought was me stating I was in ********* and requesting a cash advance. The *** had all my information that was confirmed because they called from the legit EECU number (I assumed it was EECU) even my address and that is what I'm more stress about. Once they told me they would send me a code to my phone and I never received it I hung up and called the number on the back of my card and was told that it was not EECU that was calling. I'm currently awaiting a phone call from a EECU manager.EECU Credit Union

Secure Important Documents: Store documents such as Social Security cards, birth certificates, and account details in a safe, locked location.
5.Leverage Credit Union Services
Set Up Alerts: Enable account notifications for unusual activity, low balances, or large transactions to stay informed of potential issues.
Freeze Your Credit When Necessary: If you suspect identity theft, work with your credit union and the credit bureaus to place a freeze on your credit report.
6.Educate Yourself About Scams
Stay Informed: Familiarize yourself with common scams, such as fake job offers, lottery fraud, or romance scams, to recognize red flags.
Report Suspicious Activity: Notify your credit union immediately if you suspect fraud or unauthorized transactions. Quick action can prevent further damage.

I tried to open a checking account and a savings account at the ******* location. It took at least 6 trips to their facility over a week. They were woefully understaffed and the waits were ridiculously long. The banker I worked with didn't know what she was doing. Again and again she said all the paperwork was processed and she would have it ready for signature the next day. But every day she added more paperwork and said come back again the next day. At one point the person who appeared to be the manager told me some of the forms were not required at all and the banker should not have asked for them. When all the paperwork was actually finally finished, the banker announced that I couldn't transfer funds between the two accounts electronically. I would always have to physically come into their location to do that. My previous bank did not restrict transfers between my checking and savings accounts there. I closed the accounts and left.EECU Credit Union

Called multiple times about fraudulent charges... The best they can do is cancel your card, with no repayment of said fraudulent charges... Recieved the complaint, and delivered the answers with total difference. I expected more from a bank I've had dealings with for 10 + years.... My fault, I realized after the fact. They are as dodgy as a typical bank.EECU Credit Union

Mr. ******* - Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. After a thorough review of your account, it appears that the charge in question is related to a recurring monthly fee for a subscription cancellation service to which you had previously agreed. However, if this information is inaccurate, please let us know so that we can investigate further.
We are pleased that EECU's Lead Fraud Specialist was able to speak with you and clarify the available options to address the recurring charge. Should you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
At EECU, we are committed to delivering a Better Way of Banking and strive to meet all of our members' needs.

Made a large deposit and they lied about the 7 day hold. Called the bank and it was on a schedule to be doled out. Branch manager lied and said it was a teller error. Tried to transfer money and it was one hoop after another to get it set up and then it was limited. My card gets compromised at least twice a year if not more.Reading the reviews below is just one excuse after the other as they take no accountability. If I could leave them a zero I would.I will be pulling out of EECU immediately.EECU Credit Union
